This is one mistake Sienna Landry can’t buy her way out of.
As Walker Gibson looks at her, then at the damage to his precious truck (that she may or may not have accidentally inflicted), she knows she’s in trouble. It’s not the busted headlight and dented grill that’s sunk her though. It’s the downright sinful man in front of her that’s the problem.
The small town mechanic is broody. Rough. Smells like engine grease and gasoline and Sienna isn’t sure why that’s so sexy, but it is. It so is. She’s ready to peel off her panties at the drop of his wrench.
He wants her too. She can feel it when he brushes against her. Experience it as he presses her against the wall of the shop. It’s thinly veiled in his deep, brown eyes when he looks at her like she’s everything he’s ever wanted. So why won’t he give in?
The damage to Walker’s truck is the first of many mistakes between the two of them, ending with truths that rock Sienna’s world. Nothing can fix her broken heart except the love of a man that won’t, maybe even can’t, love her back.

Crank is the first book in a new series called The Gibson Boys. You could say it’s a spinoff since this book features Sienna, from the Landry Family series and starts us off with Walker Gibson. This Standalone has a little bit of everything we love in romance and I absolutely love it and the characters. I was laughing one moment and on the verge of tears the next. While not a straight out Rom-Com, there are some funny, laugh out loud scenes with Peck; a cousin to the Gibson’s featured in the story, who now has a special place in my heart.
Sienna Landry moved to Linton, Illinois with her best friend Delaney to start up their own internet design business. She wanted to get away from the shadow of her family, back in Georgia, and prove she could do something on her own. After she accidentally bashes the hood of Walker Gibson’s truck, with a baseball bat, she needs to pay for the damages. When Peck, his cousin, suggests she pay her debt by working for Walker, Sienna thinks this might not be a bad idea; it’s one way to get to know him. Sienna paying it off by working in the office might not be the worst idea Peck has come up with. And he’s come up with quite a few.
Walker took over his family’s mechanic shop, after his mother and father died in a tragic accident, a few years ago. His other brothers, Lance and Machlan, stayed in town, while their sister, Blaire, lives in Chicago. Peck works for him and neither one of them seems to care about keeping the office clean or organizing paperwork. Unfortunately for Sienna, working for Walker might be a bad idea, he seems to run hot and cold with her and keeps her in a constant state of confusion.
“Sometimes you don’t have to say things to have them understood. I think you’re the master at not having to say what you meant to get your point across.”
I loved Sienna! She was a little hardheaded but it balanced out with a tender heart and actions that were incredibly thoughtful. The boy’s Nana was a wise soul and embraced Sienna as part of the family, all she wanted was for Walker to be happy again. Walker had a ton of baggage, things he regretted in his past, and had been keeping locked deep inside, until Sienna came along. When they finally come out, and the way they do, it could be the end of his happiness. I can’t wait for the other books in the series to come out; I want to know more about the Gibson boys and their stories.
