SHE'S GOT ME BY THE FOOTBALLS...
My name is Henry Walton, and though I've been called many things throughout my life--tree trunk, moose, walrus--I am now six foot five, solid muscle, and the hottest defensive end in the NFL college draft. This is the moment I've been waiting for: fame, women, and glory.
Just one problem: I'm suddenly in a bad slump. And it started the moment I got dumped by Elle, the nerdy goddess with thick glasses, a smokin' hot body, and a genius IQ.
So what gives? We only dated for a few weeks, and it's not like I've missed her. (Much.) Regardless, all the facts point to one conclusion. Elle is my lucky nerd-charm.
Call me superstitious, but I have to get her back before I lose everything. Even if she's the last girl I should want and she now hates my guts.
I loved this book! This Rom-Com was exactly what I needed, something witty, funny and filled with loveable characters. This is the first book I’ve read by this author, and I’m going to look into her other books, I’m officially a fan of her writing. This is the second book in The Ohellno Series, and I’ll be reading book one, in the meantime, since I’ll be waiting a little impatiently for book three. I would’ve loved Oh, Henry more had I know a pertinent fact about the book, one that I’ve never considered a Spoiler, so I’m letting you know…..it ends in a cliffhanger.
Henry Walton’s a big man on campus. The handsome football player (he’s a NFL draft pick) belongs to the Alpha Phi fraternity and is well known as a fun time. He and his three siblings are heirs to the Walton oil fortune and his father has made it clear he wants Henry to quit playing football and concentrate on joining the family business when he graduates. Something Henry has no intention of doing.
My father takes the cake, though. “The road to success, Henry, is paved with persistence, pressure, and time.” he always says. He thinks I’m like drilling for oil, and if he pushes hard enough, eventually he’ll win. It’s the same thing with football. “ Football is a waste of hardworking energy, Henry. And someday you’ll see I’m right.
He’s been casually dating Elle, a genius IQ nerd, after she bought and won Henry in the auction fundraiser the frat house organized. He’s surprised when she kicks him to the curb unexpectedly. He’s always been the one doing the kicking, not the other way around. Not to mention he really likes her.
“Fine. Plenty of fish in the sea. I’m cool with that.”
“Err….you don’t look cool. Do you need to sit? Henry, we were never really going to work out. Even you had to know that.”
“Never gave it much thought.” Too busy living the dream and all that.
“Well, I need more than a hot guy with big muscles. I need….I need a man. One who will be there when things get difficult. One who’s had to deal with the real world. You only know screwing and football, and I respect that. I might even be jealous. But there is no universe in which our interests and mine could coalesce into a symbiotic relationship outside of the bedroom.”
Henry’s bummed, he really liked Elle. When he’s called out by his coach and threatened with benching him the rest of the season, due to his lack of focus and poor plays, he realizes he needs her, too. It seems she took his game mojo with her when she left him and he needs it, and her, if he wants to finish the season and get picked at draft time. So he decides he needs to woo Elle, to get her at the stadium on game day.
Poor Elle has other things on her mind and doesn’t have time for Henry’s nonsense. Her family is dealing with some very heavy issues, things she’s only shared with Tass, her roommate and fellow nerd. When Henry accidently finds out what’s Elle’s been keeping private, he decides he’s going to help out. Even if it means he makes a deal with the devil.
I absolutely loved Henry and Elle, their banter and inner dialogue is hilarious. Elle is the genius nerd that speaks her mind, and she says, without filter, made me love her more than Henry. I can’t wait for the next book to come out! The cliffhanger made me want to scream, I wasn’t ready for the book to end and I’m certain it’ll be a pre-order (if available) for sure!

From New York Times Bestseller Mimi Jean Pamfiloff comes SMART TASS, a new Romantic Comedy.
He’s the hot quarterback all the girls want.
She’s the smart girl he loves to pick on.
And now that they’re all grown up, things are about to get geekin’ ugly…
My name is Tass. I’m smart, I’m driven, and I am determined not to let prankster Hunter Johnson continue raining on my parade. When we were little, he’d pull my hair and call me names. When we were teenagers, he’d throw food and tease me for being a flat-chested virgin.
But now that we’ve ended up at the same college, he’s out of his hot head if he thinks he can keep messing with my life. It’s like he’s fixated on me or something. Well, guess what, Mr. Amazefootball? I’m not that geeky little girl anymore and you do not screw with a smart woman.
So what’s my plan?
It’s definitely wild, and he’s about to find out…
