I received this book for free from in exchange for an honest review. This does not affect my opinion of the book or the content of my review.
I know I shouldn't covet my sister's ex-boyfriend. She may have wanted nothing to do with his BDSM lifestyle, but I'm a born submissive. And the only place I want to be is under Simon's command. But he won't go near me. Not with the memory of her so close. That leaves me no choice. If he won't touch me when he knows who I am, I'll have to come to him in disguise. He's worth the risk. I'm meant to be his. Now I just have to prove it to him.
Being a Dominant cost me my first love, but I can't deny who I am. I won't. Control and power are everything, and the way I keep mine is by playing only with experienced subs. No exceptions. Until I met her. She wore a mask, but I knew the moment our lips touched she was meant to belong to me. Young, new to the world of BDSM—I knew training her would be a risk. I didn't know it would destroy me.
Simon Delgado is a teacher and hockey coach. His parents were married for thirty years and if his father hadn’t died they would still be together. He’s looking for a woman to share what his parents had. He thought he’d found the one to share his life with, Cassie, years ago. He decided to be honest with her and introduce her to his lifestyle, as a Dom. It seems Cassie wasn’t into it and not only did she leave but she threatened to file sexual abuse charges against him. He finds himself, three years after the breakup, thinking he’s never going to find a Sub who will be the one to share his life with. He might have to settle down and live a vanilla life. How depressing!
Chloe Reynolds is Cassie’s younger sister. She saw Simon first, one night out with Cassie, but it seemed that he only had eyes for her sister. Simon never saw her as anything other than Cassie’s little sister.
“He could never know how much it had hurt when I first laid eyes on him the night I turned twenty-one. I’d desperately wanted to go after him. Instead, he saw Cassie first. Claimed her instead. For the years they were together, I always tried to ignore the crush I had on him. I took what I could get from him, a friendship of sorts when we were around each other.”
After Cassie told everyone the reason for their breakup she found herself wondering about Simon’s true nature. As fate would have it, they run into each other at a masked charity ball.
“Who are you? And how do we know each other?”
“You don’t know me, not really, Simon.”
“And what have you been told about me?”
“I know you’re a man who knows how to please a woman in…unconventional ways.”
After sharing a passionate kiss, Simon discovers the woman is Chloe. He thinks she’s playing a game with him and when she asks him to train her, as a sub, he tells her to forget about it. Six months go by and Simon can’t forget Chloe. When he finds her at Luminous, the BDSM club he’s been a member at for three years, he rescues her from a sadistic Dom. It seems that it wasn’t her first time at Luminous, she was serious about wanting to be a Sub, and was seriously injured.
“One month, I will spend the next month training and teaching you, and then I will find a more suitable Dom for you”
Searing pain lashed straight to my chest, as if he was yielding the cane that had struck me against my will. “You—“
“We are not well matched, Chloe. You know this. Your family would never accept me and you’re too young. Too vulnerable. Too innocent for me. But in order to keep you safe, I will handle your training and then I will help you find a Dom who can continue when we’re done.”
Simon is surprised by Chloe, it seems she’s the perfect Sub. Too perfect, in fact.
“I’d find a way to make her mine. To get over the chasm of shit we’d have to deal with. I’d keep her a secret if I had to, but after one taste of Chloe’s sweet mouth, swallowing her whimpers, which went straight to my balls, I already knew I wouldn’t let her go. Not in four weeks. Not in twenty. Maybe not ever. And holy shit. Where had my mind gone? One taste of her, succulent as it was, and I was planning forever? This was a mistake. All of it. But I didn’t care if I burned in hell for ruining another Reynolds. I was having her.”
I loved Crave Me! The BDSM scenes are incredibly hot and erotic, always a plus! With all the obstacles in their way I was hoping that they’d find a way to overcome them and I was not disappointed. This was the second book in the Luminous Series and I’m looking forward to many more.
