Will she ever find a way to overcome the guilt?
Healing seems impossible.
He's the only one who can save her.
But it comes with a heavy price.
Sylvie and Lincoln have been best friends from the day he sat next to her in fifth grade, and since then their friendship has known no boundaries.
But when Sylvie meets Dean at 17 everything changes. Dean manages to consume her with his overwhelming love for her, yet there is still a part of her heart that belongs to Linc. So years later, when tragedy has altered Sylvie and her daughter’s lives, Linc sees this as the chance he has been waiting for. He is finally going to claim the woman who was meant to be his.
This is a breathtaking story of love, loss, and the healing power of love. Sylvie lives a life filled with guilt and grief until Linc shows up and helps her comes to terms with the hole Dean has left within her. The writing in this book felt so honest I actually felt the loss of Dean right alongside Sylvie. But what really stands out are two very poignant scenes. I won’t spoil what they are, but you will know which ones I’m talking about when you read them.
There was something very powerful about this story that drew me right in, and I didn’t want it to end at all so I was sad when it did. But at the same time it left me filled with the knowledge that love really is the most healing power of all. Which is why Sylvie gets 4.5 stars.
“When two hearts are meant to be one, they always find a way”.
